Surat Ash-Sharĥ (The Relief) - سورة الشرح


بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

94:1
94:1
Sahih International
Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast?
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
Did We not expand (an interrogative meant as an affirmative, in other words, ‘We did [indeed] expand’) your breast for you, O Muhammad (s), by means of prophethood and otherwise,
Indonesian
Bukankah Kami telah melapangkan untukmu dadamu?,
94:2

Sahih International
And We removed from you your burden
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
and relieve you of your burden,
Indonesian
dan Kami telah menghilangkan daripadamu bebanmu,
94:3
94:3
Sahih International
Which had weighed upon your back
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
that which weighed down your back? — this is similar to where God says: that God may forgive you what is past of your sin [Q. 48:2].
Indonesian
yang memberatkan punggungmu?
94:4
94:4
Sahih International
And raised high for you your repute.
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
Did We not exalt your mention? For you are mentioned where I [God] am mentioned in the call announcing [the time for] prayer (adhān), in the [second] call to perform the prayer (iqāma), in the witnessing [‘there is no god but God, Muhammad is His Messenger’] (tashahhud), in the Friday sermon and in other instances.

Dan Kami tinggikan bagimu sebutan (nama)mu,
94:5

Sahih International
For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
For truly with hardship comes ease.
Indonesian
Karena sesungguhnya sesudah kesulitan itu ada kemudahan,
94:6

Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
Truly with hardship comes ease: the Prophet (s) suffered much hardship at the hands of the disbelievers, but then he enjoyed ease when he was assisted to victory [by God] over them.
Indonesian
sesungguhnya sesudah kesulitan itu ada kemudahan.
94:7
94:7
Sahih International
So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship].
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
So when you are finished, from [performing] prayer, toil, exert yourself in supplication [to God],

Maka apabila kamu telah selesai (dari sesuatu urusan), kerjakanlah dengan sungguh-sungguh (urusan) yang lain,
94:8

And to your Lord direct [your] longing.
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
and seek, devote yourself humbly to, your Lord.
Indonesian
dan hanya kepada Tuhanmulah hendaknya kamu berharap.
